Hayle Old Cornwall Society

Hayle Old cornwall Society aims to collect, record and share information about Cornish history, place-names, folk-lore, traditions, dialect, music, industries etc and the volunteers aim to educate and inform through their tours and talks.

Monthly talks are held at The Passmore Edwards Institute in Hayle, each hosting a different guest speaker with a different fascinating subject.  The talks start at 7.30pm and entry is £1 to members and £2.50 to non-members.

The next few talks are as follows:

1st Feb Mining in ancient Europe by Julie Wileman

1st Mar The Helston Railway by Ken

5th April Cornish Ranges, by John Woodward

4th May Arsenic production and use by Kingsley Richard, and A G M

      Trevor, from The Old Cornwall Society, is giving a talk at Hayle Heritage Centre on Wednesday 7th August from 7pm. Tickets are £4 each and you need to book in advance through enquiries@hayleheritagecentre.org.uk
